For such a small word, “if” is pretty big. If I did… if I didn’t… if I only could. Our lives hinge on the word “if”. Rudyard Kipling pretty much said it all about the word “if” so I won’t try.

I thought I’d try an “eye” pun here but they were all too cornea.
