Where I was
Fandango’s 147th Story Starter.
With a sudden rush of panic, I realized I had no idea where I was.
And then I took a breath.
I held the breath for a few seconds and I slowly let it go. As I felt the air leave my body I closed my mind and opened myself. I saw trees budding and grass waiting for the first cutting of the spring. I saw two cabbage butterflies circling a batch of weeds. I smelled wet rocks and damp soil. I heard the chirps and whistles of birds I couldn’t identify. I felt the firm support of the earth under my feet.
I had no idea where I was, but it didn’t matter because it was today and I was here. Right where I was supposed to be.
Love this and love that grounded feeling that comes when we use each of our senses. All is well, right here and right now.

And for now all is good. I’m not sure we can ask for more?
