This Weekend’s Pictures

February 27, 2012

I took some pictures this weekend and here are four that passed the final cut.

Someone asked me what ‘enhanced’ photography was and by my definition, an enhanced photograph is one that that has been altered in some way. In my case, I like taking the pictures and putzing around with them in some different software programs to change the colors and textures and stuff. Someone else asked me if I couldn’t post the original picture along with the enhanced picture for comparison so I did that here.

Hey, Michael! I just retired and this blogging thing is new to me. But I do fiddle around with photography so I’m trying to make them work together. Like your photos as they look similar to ones that I took. Any tips would be appreciated. …Cheers, Peter Edwards

Hi Peter, sorry for taking so long to reply. To change the colors on the photos I’ve been using Microsoft Office Picture Manager and also Windows Photo Gallery.

Michael, I have photo software but have not tried enhancing with different colors, etc. I should try that; your pictures are awesome! I really like the “A log”. WOW, what a difference.

    Thank you for sharing!

Isn’t it amazing how much changing the colors changes the picture? They don’t all come out good but some of them do and that makes it worth it. It’s time consuming but I figure it beats my watching TV! I hope you give it a try!
