That’s No McNugget!
I parked my car this morning and as usual I walked around the front of the car to make sure I was close enough to the curb when I notice a small McDonald’s bag just inches in front of my front driver’s side tire. I start to bend down to pick it up so I could throw it in the trash when I notice it’s not a McDonald’s bag at all but a tiny little white disposable diaper with a pink butterfly on the front which leads me to believe it’s from a baby girl, but I have no idea what age. Baby, toddler, infant, I have no idea what the difference is between them.
I pull back and straighten up because obviously I’m not going to touch the thing but I also don’t want to leave it that close to my car because it’s going to be warm and muggy today and I just don’t like the idea of a dirty, discarded diaper that close to my car. With my left foot on the curb and my right hand braced on the hood of the car, I lower my right leg and kick the diaper away and when I do I feel that solid/squishy feeling so I know it wasn’t just a wet diaper that someone threw away but a messy one with, you know, solid stuff in it. Yech.
Forget the fact that I don’t know if disposable diapers are biodegradable or not, a person has a baby and the baby goes to the bathroom like 100 times a day so it’s not any sort of surprise when it happens and I’m wondering why the parent isn’t prepared for it. When they’re outside the house can’t the parent take the dirty diaper and just put it into a plastic bag or something and tie it up and keep it until they can put it into a garbage can rather than just toss it out of their car onto the street?

That is certainly what most parentals do… yuck!

I am always amazed that there are people out there that can clean up after their children. But then I feel the same way about pet owners. Some people are just nasty. Wish it weren’t so.
Have a great day!

GROSS! It’s a shame people can’t even be responsible for their own literal crap these days. I always keep plastic grocery bags in my diaper bag, so if I have to change the baby on the go there is somewhere to put it until we find a trash can. Its not that hard to do!
