Whoa there, Mr. Weatherman!

Yesterday evening I’m half listening to the news and this comment from the weatherman catches my attention: “Everyone loving the heat.”

Hold on there, buster. Maybe a lot of people like the heat, but everyone? How about we go with everyone minus one because I’m not enjoying the heat and I’m not particularly fond of the heat. Oh, I don’t mind it so much if I’m going from one air-conditioned area to the next, it’s kind of enjoyable for those few seconds, but extended exposure to the heat, no thanks.

The forecast for this weekend calls for high temperatures in the low 90’s and muggy.

You are not alone. I am also not a fan of heat. My proof. My husband and I moved to Alabama in December and were back up in civilized temperatures by mid April. It only took a couple of above 90 degree days in an un-airconditioned trailer fo rme to decide I did not like the south. 😛

Stay cool and enjoy your warm days. I will be hiding in my room with the A/C on high.

Enjoy that A/C! I like to camp out by the vent in my place so I’m as close to the cool air as possible 🙂

The Twin Cities are full of surprises, Sherece! The long range forecast calls for high temps in the upper 60’s on Tuesday and the lower 70’s on Wednesday so you might not get all the heat.

Make that one more – me. The heat and humidity are not something that I enjoy either. Summertime cabin fever nearly as bad as winter cabin fever, but I thank my lucky stars to have A/C.

I’m generally okay with cabin fever regardless of the season. I just open the door and take a few steps outside and then head back in!
