Wise man
I get up early and go to bed early and contrary to what Benjamin Franklin said, I’m not wealthy. And if Dr. Google can be believed, I question my health.
The word wise is a great prompt to share a Shel Silverstein poem. Who doesn’t like Shel Silverstein? I suppose maybe some of the thousands of women he claimed to have sex with in his biography might not like him, but don’t take me so literally.
Tell Me
Shel Silverstein
Tell me I’m clever,
Tell me I’m kind,
Tell me I’m talented,
Tell me I’m cute,
Tell me I’m sensitive,
Graceful and wise,
Tell me I’m perfect-
But tell me the truth.
“Keep on living, loving, waiting your turn…” –Ken Hensley.
Enjoy.
I’ve been a big Silverstein fan since childhood 🙂 ❤
Sincerely,
David
