Two bourbons (72)
On this Small Business Saturday here in the US, Sammi’s 287th Weekend Writing Prompt tempts us with thoughts of revenge.

Two bourbons (72)
Linda poured bourbon into two glasses and offered one to Tom.
“Thanks, babe,” he said. “Listen, I’m sorry, alright?” He swallowed the drink.
Today’s argument had been the worst and Linda’s swollen left eye was proof.
“Don’t worry, Tommy. Bygones…”
Tom laughed. “Yeah, let bygones be—” Tom clutched his chest, fell to the floor.
Linda smiled. The revenge was sweet.
“Bye Tommy.”
Outside the window, the foxglove was in full bloom.
Shoulda been a slower, more pain-inducing drug…

We think alike. I wanted slow but didn’t have enough words.

I’ve always liked this song and Dennis Franz.

I liked him on Hill Street Blues and on NYPD Blue and he just seemed to have disappeared after NYPD Blue.

You had me curious, so I Googled him. You are right. That was about the last show he was in. But, gosh, he won a lot of awards for his role in HSB.
