Lexicon (85)
Welcome back, Sammi. I missed you a couple of weeks ago and I’m sorry to hear about Khepri. I hope you and your family are feeling a little better.

The lexicon changes and you learn the new words, or you yearn for the old ones.
I used to call people “man”, but now people are “dudes”. A “pad” is where you rest your mouse, but it used to be where you lived.
Groovy and cool? Replaced with “rad” and “wicked”. “Dope” got smoked, but now it’s something “excellent“. If you were “lit” you smoked too much, but now “lit” means what “groovy” used to mean.
I like my old words. Please don’t “unfriend” me.

I was talking to my neighbor yesterday and she was asking about a truck parked in front of her house. Said her son told her the people that were in it looked ‘sketch.’ That was a new one on me, so I asked. Yup. ‘Sketch’ is the new ‘sketchy.’ Remember when sketch meant to draw?

Well said ‘ole chap. When wicked became good, and sick became great, I gave up!

My children tell me I am often using words inappropriately!

Tell them there’s nothing wrong with being ‘cheugy’! Or better not because maybe that word isn’t used anymore?!
