I wonder if –

Some people move through life with grace and ease, like sexy passenger ships gliding through warm blue waters toward exotic destinations and wonderful times.

I wonder if they, those fortunate warm water gliders, ever think about those who don’t know warm waters: the people for whom life is just a little bit out of focus and fraught with worries and fears and doubts and tears.

The suffering souls, the ones who live in a world of sharp crags and blurry edges, who encounter danger and uncertainty and fear and not-so-wonderful times in every heartbeat and behind every shadow, I wonder who thinks of them?

Funny thing is, they can deceive, those with sharp crags and edges, because on the outside they can disguise themselves to look just like the sexy warm water gliders so that no one, not even others who live among dangerous shadows and blurry edges, are able to recognize them.

Those hesitant actors with their safely covered scars keeping their secrets hidden and safe. And insecure.
