THE STORY
(I saw the people at the bottom of the picture but my focus was drawn to the top half of the picture and that’s where my inspiration for this flash came from)
Sitting
This is where I sit.
Eyes half-closed, staring at nothing. The trees and moon a shelter, the breeze a heavenly massage.
I sit and focus on being unfocused. I breath. I stop thinking. I float. I breath.
The world stops. No shootings. No stabbings. No bombs. No politicians. No war. No death. No religion. No madness.
There is selflessness. There is compassion. There is kindness. There is acceptance. There is humanity. There is gratitude.
There is here. There is now.
There is life; half-seen and unseen. There is a universe. There is a connection.
I like sitting. Join me?

Hi Reena! I hope it’s more than just wishful and maybe with enough concentration and enough people… Who knows?

A very effective description of escapism. But, in truth, it’s so often our perspective that makes all the difference, isn’t it. I love your logo with the fish and magnifying glass, looking at his human specimen.

I agree that our perspectives make the difference but I think meditation is more than escapism. I think it helps keep us focused and moving.

I think sitting can very effective… it was once said that if you share a cup of tea, you are friends for life.

I’ve never heard that before but I like it. If you’re ever in the neighborhood you have a standing invitation for a cup of tea!

Word #100 = Love
This was touching. My eyes teared as I read it. It’s so poignant for these times.
Of course, George Harrison singing ‘Be Here Now’ is soulful. Beautifully done …

Dear Michael,
Your story is a breath of fresh air. So were the songs. Lovely reminder.

There is definitely a connection… this will always be apt for the times, as every age has conflict in it. Will do us well to remember the connections between us.
