Picture Rare

This week over at the Daily Post Ben Huberman asks us to photograph something rare.

There are countless pictures of spider webs across the internet so there’s nothing particularly special about this picture, but it’s rare in the sense that while I’ve seen spider webs underneath this light before, I’ve never seen a spider web in this location, above the light, and I’ve never seen one  this big – these bricks are about 3″ tall so you can do the math – or one constructed like a funnel. It’s like a big spider found a 5-Hour Energy drink sometime after sundown and went to town. I hope she got fed well for her effort.
