Soaring
The Five-to Fifty/Fifty-Five exercise is to write a 50-word story using the five words provided in the prompt so your final story is 55 (or fewer if you want) words. The prompt is courtesy of Richard Osgood at Zoetrope’s “The Flash Factory“.
If you’d like to play along please leave a link in the comments so I can go and read yours.

Soaring
I left Starbucks and hopped the interstate. Head buzzing from the venti Americano and drunk on memories of her perfume I couldn’t keep my foot from pushing the accelerator up past the 60 mph limit. Sixty-five, seventy, goofy grin on my face; the topless mountain in front of me and her just three exits away.
