Happy Anniversary!
I guess my head is someplace else because I forgot about an important anniversary this past week. Eighteen years ago, on May 26, 1997, I quit smoking. It’s weird because the day I quit I would recognize one minute of being a non-smoker. Then five minutes. Then an hour. The weeks turned to months – and if you’re a smoker who wants to quit, no, I can’t tell you why 05/26/97 was different than any of the eight other times I tried and failed* – and I really looked forward to that first year anniversary as well as every one of the 17 that followed.
So why did I suddenly forget such an important day? Maybe by now I recognize myself so strongly as a non-smoker that 05/26/97 doesn’t matter so much anymore?
Regardless, happy anniversary to me!
* If you’re a smoker who wants to quit please don’t hesitate to send me an email and I’ll do whatever I can to help.
oh don’t I know… that’s an important day in your life. Life without that addiction can truly set you free. LOL

Congratulations! Quitting smoking is one of the hardest things to do. I quit on February 14, 2008.
