Friday Fictioneers: Nothing to See Here; Move Along Now

July 18, 2014

The Friday Fictioneers concept is simple: One photo + 100 words + share it with other Fictioneers and friends = Fun!

Friday Fictioneers is hosted by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields and you can find it by clicking  HERE.

Nothing to See Here; Move Along Now

St. Louis or Shepherd University, I don’t care.

Dodge trucks too.

I won’t stand idly by on cloven hooves while they use me as a team nickname or product logo. The Texas Wesleyan University Lady Rams has a certain seductive ring to it but come on, Lady RAMS? The TexWes Ewes, OK, I could get behind that – in more ways than one if you get my drift! – but who comes up with this stuff?

First it’s a mascot and then it’s a wether and I say not me! Hopefully if I hide in this corner they’ll never find me.

I was just getting ready to shut down FF for tonight and saw your title and thought “Must read!” So glad I did. Love the simple protest of the ram. Delightful take on the prompt,

Team mascots are all the rage out in your neck of the woods, huh? It’ll be interesting to see how this all ends up. The last I read was something about the team being referred to as “The Washington Team”. Thanks for stopping by, Dawn!

Dear Michaels Fishbowl, Interesting story and the poor ram has to try and find a place out of the way. I like the ladies basketball team name. Good Job! Nan 🙂

    Dear Michael,

I love the name of your blog in case I haven’t said so before.

Perfect timing on your story. So does this mean that PC will soon apply to animals’ feelings?

    Nice one.

    shalom,

    Rochelle

I think pretty soon PC will apply to everything and then we’ll just limit our conversations to smiling and nodding. But only nods that are within officially sanctioned levels so no one gets a deeper nod than someone else. Sometimes the world is a weird place… Thanks for the comment and I’m happy that you like the name of the blog!

As long as he’s not led from the corner to the butcher he’ll probably be happy! Thank you for coming by, Anne!

Michael, My first comment seems to have disappeared. You might check your Spam as sometimes comments get put there by mistake. Here’s a second one: Poor ram. People are taking advantage and all he wants is a little peace and quiet. Humorous and well written. 🙂 —Susan

Thank you, Susan! It might not be the Spam folder, it could be me. Despite having this blog for some time I’m still getting used to how to actually use it.
