Weekly Photo Challenge: Saturated
I love coincidences! Okay, so I have this small point-and-shoot camera that I carry with me all the time in case I happen upon something I want to take a picture of. The camera doesn’t have a viewfinder, just a big screen in the back and the screen is touch sensitive – which I’ve found to be more of a pain in the butt than anything. This past Saturday I’ve got the camera turned on and I’m trying to change something on the back when my finger accidentally touches the screen and takes a picture. No focus, no framing, no nothing, and of course it’s nothing I want to keep and then I see this week’s Daily Prompt photo challenge and suddenly I have a use for this unwanted picture.
Moral(s) of the story: There is beauty in everything and if you don’t see it the first time then look again, and the Grateful Dead were right in the song Scarlet Begonias and that, “Once in a while you can get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.”
Thanks for reading and here’s the Daily Prompt. (And you can play along too if you want, just post a link to your saturated picture in the comments)
This week, show us a photo of whatever you’d like, but make sure it’s saturated. It can be black and white, a single color, a few hues, or a complete rainbow riot; just make sure it’s rich and powerful.
