Out of Focus

May 6, 2012

The weekly photo challenge is:

U n f o c u s e d

You may curse or cheer this week’s theme. We’re looking for that picture which is unfocused. It may be completely intentional, or accidental. You might have thought about trashing it, but in the end it definitely conveys something.

There are two kinds of blurry photos: the ones that are mistakes and the ones we were trying for. I’m in the line cheering this week’s theme because I like trying to take pictures like this. More often than not it doesn’t work and they go into the trash, but once in awhile it does work and they’re keepers. Below are two that I felt were keepers. I’m not sure what either one conveys, but I like looking at them. The first picture are koi and the second picture are tree roots. Both photos are untouched.

If you’d like, you’re welcome to leave a link to your photos in the comments below.

The weekly photo challenge is simple and fun and…

Here’s how it works:

1. Each week, we’ll provide a theme for creative inspiration. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog anytime before the following Friday when the next photo theme will be announced.

2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Weekly Photo Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use the “postaday″ tag.

3. Subscribe to The Daily Post so that you don’t miss out on weekly challenge announcements.
