Winter is Fading

February 19, 2012

Winter is fading fast up here in Minnesota and it won’t be long now. This is a picture I took of a stick on a frozen lake. If this stick had a head he would look like a stickman who is lying down on the ice and waiting for spring to come and thaw the ice so he can float away. It’s probably for the best that he doesn’t have a head because then he’d know he’s just a stick who can’t do anything.

Hi Michael! Just wanted to stop by and say thank you for dropping by my photo blog earlier today. Nice meeting you.

GREAT photo! Really like the green on the branch against the blue hue of the ice. Very nice!

Hey, I blog with a good friend of mine who also lives in Minnesota and she said that your winter has not been as severe as it usually is. Personally I love the cold, which is why I love winter. But we here on the east coast have also had a very mild winter. I know this sounds strange, but I’m still hoping for one snowfall before it moves into spring. We’ve gotten none so far this winter.

    Have a great week, Michael!
