Welcome Bach, where ‘ya been Haydn?

Welcome Bach, where ‘ya been Haydn?

It’s sort of interesting how many Classical music composers’ names lend themselves to puns. Think about it for a bit. Not now necessarily, but maybe while you’re cleaning the house or out doing some grocery Chopin or talking to the Schumann about some new footwear and you’ll see that it’s a pretty long Liszt. Can you Handel it? Of Korsakov you can! Ain’t it a Beach?

Anyway, the reason I was thinking about this today was because I just heard someone talking about the new Billy Elliot musical and they’re apparently also coming out with a Classical music adaptation of Elton John’s music called, Rocket Maninoff.

I love puns.

This was great. I can’t imagine how you come up with these. Very Clever!
